FOCUS - Aquatic centres

04.26 / Project

Marc Mimram Architecture et Ingénierie has long been committed to the design of sports facilities. These buildings bring together sports and leisure activities and open themselves up to the city. They should be approached with generosity, creating vibrant places for everyday life, events and sporting activities, designed to serve everyone.

Aquatic centres are particularly demanding facilities in terms of resource consumption and can often be challenging to develop and operate. Our projects in this field focus on three key areas :

- Minimising water consumption by exploring every opportunity for water recovery, recycling and reuse;
- Using a mix of materials, with a particular emphasis on timber, to achieve a lower carbon footprint;
- Maximising uses beyond the aquatic facilities themselves to create more vibrant and active places, while improving the overall economic viability of the facility.
