The Simonne-Mathieu Court, a botanical gem dedicated to sporting performance
Nestled in the heart of the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil, the Simonne-Mathieu Court—nicknamed the Court of the Greenhouses—rekindles its annual fervor during the Roland-Garros tournament !
Since its completion in 2018, its 5,000 seats come alive every spring to the rhythm of the world’s top tennis players. 🎾 🏆
Its unique architecture, surrounded by four tropical greenhouses, makes it much more than just a court: it is a botanical conservation site open to the public year-round before transforming back into a venue for high-level sports performance and spectacular events during the tournament.
This project, like the National Tennis Training Center completed in 2015 and designed by Marc Mimram Architecture & Engineering, fully contributes to the international prominence of tennis as well as to the unique spirit of Roland-Garros.
