A look back at an emotionally charged inaugural weekend in Quimper

The new event and sports arena in Quimper officially opened its doors on October 10 and 11, 2025. Designed to host sporting competitions, concerts, shows, and major events, it now becomes a central venue for cultural and sporting life in Quimper, and proudly bears its name: Kostum Park – À Nous la Vie.
Two intense days, two milestone events, and a shared moment to celebrate the opening of this new emblematic facility for the city of Quimper.

An inauguration marked by pride 🙌
On Friday, October 10, more than 900 guests responded to the invitation from Quimper Bretagne Occidentale and the City of Quimper for the official opening ceremony.
Alongside the Mayor of Quimper and President of Quimper Bretagne Occidentale, Isabelle Assih, we welcomed elected officials, the Prefect of Finistère Louis Le Franc, the President of the Regional Council of Brittany Loïg Chesnais-Girard, and the President of the Finistère Department Maël de Calan, to collectively acknowledge the achievement of this shared project.
It was a moment of great pride for our agency, Marc Mimram Architecture et Ingénierie, lead architect for the project, working with ddl architectes, our partners, and the construction teams.
The day continued with a press tour on site, an opportunity to present to journalists the behind-the-scenes details and the ambitions of this new event and sports venue.

A first official game and a victory for the Béliers 🏀
The following day, Saturday, October 11, the arena experienced its first true thrill in an electrifying atmosphere: the inaugural game of the local team, Les Béliers de Kemper, against Rouen. And what a start.
An 81–71 victory, a packed house, and shared excitement in the stands, the match marked the official debut of Kostum Park under the best possible conditions.
