For the Morlaix swimming pool, the grand landscape scale is a major asset: it fits smoothly with the environment, establishing a relationship of transparency and openness towards the landscape.

The sports complex takes advantage of this privileged connection to the vegetal universe, enhancing the distant view towards the Morlaix Valley by utilizing the site's topography.

The project preserves the continuity of paths, uses, and both distant and close views, making this site a specific place.

The roof is made up of large pleated sheets which open to let light pass through the large “vierendeel” beams supporting the roof and giving it its unique geometry.

These beams, with variable inertia, order the roof and shape the slope of the roofs according to the needs: unitary above the sports pool, slender and variable above the recreational pool...
