The reconquest of the Têt river not only places the river at the heart of urban development but also gives the opportunity to create a real urban park within the river bed. The footbridge gains its full meaning and purpose here: it connects the North to the South and establishes a direct urban and scenic link with the river park.

We wanted to transversely orient the structure by adding a curved deck to the straight deck, located along the urban axis, opening like a balcony to the East and the view of the magnificent Pyrenees landscape, which gives birth to the Têt river and explains the territorial connection that the river offers between the mountains and the Mediterranean sea.

As a result, the deck opens up to the landscape and creates a place for meeting, rest, and contemplation within the promenade. This transverse asymmetry of the deck echoes the orientation, views, and geography in which the footbridge is situated.
