The Bras de Pirmil bridge is the result of a careful reading of the qualities of the Loire landscape, offering lightness and transparency to the sky and the horizon, as well as variations in profile depending on the tides. Particular attention was paid to the paths throughout the bridge.

The composition of the deck is organized around a central part reserved for automobile traffic. On the banks, cycle paths visually expand the area intended for cyclists and pedestrians by integrating them into a same independent tone in relation to the roadway.

The opportunity is given here to extend the typology of the Nantes bridges while affirming the contemporary implementation capabilities linked to the new manufacturing method. The refined geometries match the specificity of this work: an urban footbridge accessible to vehicles.
